I made mention to him that Nick Salter was too bloody good for the SANFL and he of course agreed but said was more than happy to accomodate him at the Eagles, naturally.

He mentioned that the Power have 'suggested' to play Nick in a defensive role more regularly because that is where they want to play him, as they did throughout the NAB Cup, with not much success.

I actually said on the Monday Morning RPH Sports Show when we were reviewing this game that the Eagles would win and Nick Slater would kick a bag of 7 or 8 because he is way too good to be playing SANFL...

One of Salter's first games he played Full Back on Daniel Hargraves and kept him scoreless. I'm sure he would do well in the back lines, but it's a case of why would you play a natural forward, and one of the best kick for goals in the country, in the back lines?

A bit like what Neil Craig is doing to Taylor Walker.

Maybe you should ask Chocco that yourself mate. I agree it's ridiculous that he's not selected in the Power side but whilst he's not i'm very happy for him to continue wearing an Eagles guernsey.

Chocco clearly has no idea of what talent was.

Maybe not in the same league as Taylor Walker, but Chocco also did this with Westies Matt Martin. Matt has always been a natural forward, yet Chocco wanted him played in the backlines at Westies. His one stand out game for 2009 Season was against Glenelg in the last minor round where he played at FF and stood out in the first half taking some big grabs and kicking truly.
Where is Matt in 2010? Off the Power Rookie list and out yonder somewhere in WA trying to get his love of the game back.

If Salter couldn't give the Power more than Brett Ebert is giving I'll go 'he' for chasey....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.
