Yes, his preference was actually West Torrens.

I travelled ALL the way down to Nourlunga to watch the game and thought it was a great showing of Sturt supporters at the game.....

The game was all SA. Sturt struggled to get the ball out the runners and south won alot of contested footy and got it to their runners eg Little(i thought he was BOG or close to it). South played very well and totally different to the South of old so i would be very positive as a SA supporter rather than dissapointed with the draw, even though you prob should have won.

Sturt did play 3 ruckman Bowen, Kurtze and Giles with Bowne being th best IMO, SA ran them around and it really didnt work for us, but hey not all plans work.

Some good signs for sturt when they did use the football and you could see what they were trying to do, so not all doom and gloom and we will bounce back this week.

Watched a bit on the t.v and there did look like there was a great percentage of sturt supporters there.

Hopefully a few more South supporters will come out the closet especially if they can get a win over Norwood,

Would be great to see South getting crowds of high 2000 early 3000 on the back of a few good games.

Yeah it was almost 50/50 i would say

I dont see why not, i havent been down south for approx 3 years and enjoyed sitting in the car and watching the game. The style of footy SA played also was entertaining, they pressured teh contest then when they got it they ran well and if they could have used the footy a tad better the result would have been theirs

Great effort from the Panthers. Everyone even the most ardent south supporter would have thought they were in for a belting before the game. Most impressed with some new midfielders in Liddle, Horne and Murphy. I just hope they use the confidence they would have got and continue against Norwood.

Like everyone you couldn't help but be impressed with the improvement across all aspects of South's game, the real test now for Ron and the players is consistancy of that performance that is required each week.

Really enjoyed the game- save for the last 10 minutes!
After leading for most of the day it was somewhat disappointing to come away with the draw. There is an enormous improvement from last year in lots of areas. Yes our recruits were good, in particular Liddle and Horne but there seems to be a big improvement in local lads like,Crate, Veide, Murphy, Perry and Crabb -they seem to be playing with confidence and "taking the game on". Murphy in particular came of age on Saturday.
We just want the panthers to bring that effort to the table every week and the results will look after themselves.

I am surprised that Liddle is getting so much accolades. I thought his game was very solid and he is an eye catching. The recruit who really impressed me was Andrew Horne he really put his head over the ball but as well as this he used the ball under intense pressure very well.

Yes UK Fan, Sturt's first up performance was pretty ordinary considering the opposition was last years bottom club. Unlike Central who played a powerhouse of the competition, at home no less, and got up in a canter by the massive margin of 11 points.....

Oh, hang on, it was Port Magpies, the crisis club and many pundits tip to battle it out with the Panthers for this years spoon, that the mighty CDFC 'thrashed' by less than two straight kicks on their home deck, forgive me.

It's round one, it's March & it's a marathon, not a sprint. Of course you have been following Centrals for a lifetime (well probably since 2000 actually) so I am not telling you anything you don't, as one of safooty's true football officiandos, already know. Again forgive me.

Muppett.

Ill guess youll just have to keep guessing .

Good to see you blokes aren't pannicking/biting to early. Sturt overrated custard. :D

The 2002 loss may have grated at us for a little while but now we have won 6 premierships since then and dealt out our own blow to Sturt in 2009.
