Look forward to see what odds you think are fair.

bayman wrote:to the one port man & the one glenelg man sledging (mainly in fun) at each other today was hilarious & great entertainment, so well done to those two....i thought port looked good especially when they got the ball free & infact i reckon they had 3 'coast to coast' goals today, although under pressure they seemed to stop, prop & go backwards or sideways & i must mention the team spirit shown by the port players, i though no24 in ruck/forward was a class above & when i asked who he was (cloke) it was no surprise, i also thought for glenelg we were too top heavy (3 ruckman & there was definately experimenting going on....i'd think both teams would be happy after todays effort

Thanks for the report batman! Nice work.

And cheers for the scores dedja!

LOL TSG, you weren't a candidate yesterday by any chance? If you didn't you'd be a good spin doctor in any case.

Gee, after a troubled start, we're starting to get along now ... you even agreed with one of my posts once and we tag teamed to provide score updates for the North/Bays trial game last week.

In fact I'm starting to warm to you now.

But please, if you think Rubbers will be sacked at the end of this year, that's your opinion (and fair enough) but I'm not going to give you odds. You made the statement and it's up to you to back it up. If you need odds then you can't be so sure. He is contracted until the end of 2011 season so he will need to be sacked or resign.

And another thing, I'm rapt that you seem to spend so much time being concerned about not only my welfare, but that of the Bays.

I'm touched.

No odds. That's a shame.

North and Glenelg supporters always are "looking out for each other". :)

Let's get more specific TSG, when do you believe Rubbers will be sacked?

OK, here's a simple wager for you.

If Rubbers is sacked during the period above, then I'll pay for a 2011 North Adelaide membership, but if you're wrong (ie. Rubbers is coach of Glenelg for the first trial game in 2011), you'll have to buy a 2011 Glenelg membership.

Just to spice it up, the loser will have to wear the opposing team's guernsey at a match played between the 2 clubs in 2011 at the opposition's home ground. I will be honoured to have you as my guest on Snouts Hill cheering your beloved North resplendent in a Bays guernsey.

I presume you're up for it?

2 reasons I can't take that bet. I would be wanting odds better than even money. Surely YOU don't think Mickan is only 50/50 to be coaching at Glenelg next year. ;)
More importantly, there is no way in hell I would wear another teams jumper, or buy a membership for anyone other than my club. I would rather loose the cash. I know other people do it, and good on them, but I couldn't.

I'm more than confident, which is evidenced by offering to do 2 things thar are just as unpalatable to me as they are to you ... so the issue about odds is a red herring.

If I wasn't certain I wouldn't have offered the challenge.

Anyway, pity you couldn't rise to the challenge, but your prediction is noted.

Cheers ...

It was only a trail but it was promising to see Port "trial" some different game plans, we havnt had one for 4 years especially on the kick outs and kick ins.

Clayton on the back flank i thought was a great move, didnt push forward and demand the usual 2 on 1 to stop his goal scoring ability, sat back across defence and still managed to find plenty of it.

I cant see them finishing 9th?
