Add to that their ability to stop the running player without the ball from continuing to run pass. You will very rarely see teams do the old one two against the dogs as once the player releases the ball the closest central player will make sure the bloke can't make it to the next contest.

Next time Centrals plays at Adelaide Oval, go and sit in the Bradman stand right up the top level. Once you know how the Centrals machine works (and it ain't rocket science) you can predict what certain players will do 10...20...30 seconds in advance depending on the situation. And not that they don't come unstuck (see 2002 G.F.). Our game plan hasn't changed much since 2000 and the good thing about Centrals is that they aren't afraid to try new stuff (see 2003 & 2004 G.F.'s).

Apostle I must agree with what you have written.
You just forgot when the other mob does something different like play a different ruckman that can cause confusion as in 2006 Dobber replacing Jacobs in the second ruck .A more mobile ruckman found u guys wanting.
Saying that your mob hasn't fallen for that in a while ;)

IMHO dogs were the better team Friday night.

And I wouldn't get too disheartened about my teams chances this year from playing just 1 trial match...

Atleast you didn't suffer the indignity of having a close match against South...even if it was a trial. ;)
