Here are some thoughts for the Magpies PLAN B (some more realistic than others):
- Merging with an amateur league team (it might be attractive for an amateur league team to get into the SANFL)
- Slashing salary cap spending (possibly would need to be for 5-10 years)
- Renegotiation of player contracts where possible (play for the love of the jumper)
- Increase price of barbecue at home matches
- X-lotto win
- SAFM currently has a competition to "Pay your bills" (this should wipe out the current debt)

Seriously though, if the club is to survive they need to realise that sacrifices need to be made on field and accept that the team might not play finals for the next decade, because I'm thinking it will take this long to get things back in order financially to the state of where some other clubs are at.

Well both the Eagles and Westies could do with some more supporters at games, merge with one of them, if they merge with the Eagles they could be called the Port Natives to go with Torrens first side....Would be a shame to lose the largest supporter base for all teams.
