I would have thought Cloke will end up being promoted and play some AFL next season , so to pick him at no. 2 , well I think is wrong . Too short sighted , but heh they may not care past next season .

If Luke Thompson is good enough, he should get plenty of opportunity to stamp down CHB or FB from the first game for the Eagles. I would think the club will be desperate for him to show something because we look to really lack in that area from an outsiders point of view.

Agreed Aerie, we do look suspect down back in the tall area. Apparently the coach has told Lee Staple that he will be tried down back this year. Others that will come into contention are Gieger, Stuart Hill, Miles and of course Luke Thompson. None are really proven at this level although Grieger played some solid games for Westies.

I think it's a great selection. They need a big man and will get at least half a season out of him which will qualify him for finals.

Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Or that, with the merger, the Power are going to play in the SANFL instead of the AFL, in which case they may get in...
