What a waste of space this thread has become.
Is there any likelihood of some football content being debated?
Probably needs to be shut down.
It is too stupid for further words already.

No let it run, let him keep going. It's been a few years since I let complete morons get me down. These days I actually get pleasure at seeing how fanatically they scrape in the process of embarrassing the footy team they supposedly support.
Glad we don't have them at Sturt.

I sure did. Same as I did in 2002.
I don't think it was the right thing to do this time. I couldn't get the radio live over the net in 2002. After listening to the preliminary live this year, watching the grand final a week after it happened didn't feel as vital somehow. If I am stuck overseas next time we play in a grand final I'd definitely listen live.

We have tossers at our club too, lets not deny that... but I agree with you. I find most of the CD fans on here quite reasonable, there's just the odd person that basks too much in the glory that CD have achieved over the last decade.

Problem for us is those types of supporters will run for the hills during the hard times. When CD drops back in the pecking order at some point, those same retards will cop the pay outs and ridicule they've earnt for their current antics.

In the end we as Sturt supporters have nothing to be ashamed of. We've survived a shocking decade of no money, no talent and no wins and moved into a decade of constantly playing finals, making 3 grannies and coming away with the trophy on one occassion.

Overall its been a good decade for the club.

I must have missed a year I was sure you'd only made 2 grannies this decade. :?

I think the point stands well enough though. In round terms it was about 10 years from 85-95 when they were bad, then from 98-09 (near enough to a decade despite being 12 seasons). Perhaps not the decade most people assume but I don't think it was either meant or needed to be.

And I would like to point out it isn't dogs fans only posting and resurrecting this thread........

I'd be very proud if I was a Sturt supporter, I used to dislike them more in the early 00s than any other side (Port, Central and Norwood weren't close) because similar to the Bays the amount of bandwaggoners they had.
BUT I think Sturt have batted well above their average this decade, even though I didn't like them (not an issue these days) they played the best footy I enjoyed watching, I kept writing them off every season and except for the occasional one they keep coming back.
I truly do admire and respect them, they've more than earnt it.
They've done it all on a shoelace budget after being close to death and have put other clubs who have had much better cashflows (probably all clubs bar the Magpies) to shame.

Look, nothing comes close to the Dogs remarkable achievement this decade and its been a priviledge to be around for it but I dips my lids to Sturt and what they've managed on the field this decade. Easily the biggest overachievers (and I mean that in a complimentary way because of their resources) out of all the clubs IMHO.

No. Madison Park Primary in Salisbury East was my first stop... must have had a lasting effect! :-)

I'm glad I was sitting down when I read that post Wedgie !!

But well done - us Sturt fans are also very happy with what has been achieved since 1995.
