Perhaps they're realising there is still a good grass roots support of the local league and people interested in football do actually want to read about teams other than those in the AFL.
Or more correctly, they realise that they can only milk so much out of whether or not Tippex is going to re-sign with the Crows and what guernsey Port Power is going to wear next year, so they have to deploy a few journos to actually cover the one football game happening this week.
Sorry, but to see the local fishwrap jumping wholeheartedly onto the SANFL in the last week of the year simply smacks of hypocrisy. There is NO reason they could not give at least ADEQUATE coverage during the rest of the year. Screw 'em. I'll stick to the Messenger (and This August Forum) for my SANFL news.
