And of course the eagles are a chance. Win 4 games and there's a flag. Just it's very, very hard to do. 4 good sides fired up and most in decent enough form. Reality says the elimination finalists don't even get to the prelim all that often.

Rather play a team where the likes of Cica can get into the packs and get the ball .
Mind u I do think 4 in a row is very hard ;)

So did Port in 1998. There's always a chance, but not likely.

I love it when i get told theres no way !!
Makes a victory feel so much better ;)

He said not likely, not no way. And defeating North, Sturt, Central, and Glenelg (away from Woodville & in no particular order) without a miss is unlikely

My understanding is 99 and 98 it was done ;) Norwood and Port
If it can be done in the past it can be done in the present ;)
Every win or game is a step closer to end Ron Fullers coaching career .Does Ron and the Team want to end it as losers or Winners ?
My guess winners :D
Thats all I'm saying if your alive there's a chance .
Check out the teams win loss record pre and after Ron's announcement.Something I haven't done but I bet after he said he was going the pluses out scored the minuses.
And if I'm sounding arrogant why not WWTFC made it to the finals four other teams did not.
Now the real season starts !!!

PS
Your a Dogs fan once u beat the blues and give them a few injuries a win against them for either Eagles or North gets easier. The same will apply when u beat the bays .
The team that comes through with very few injuries will be a stronger force!!

1 down and only 2 to go to play in a grand final. Could this dream come true ?

Mickyj, it was tongue in cheek and you'll find it hard to offend me. ;)

Look, I think it's great that you are positive about the Eagles chances but it is a very tall ask, abeit not impossible I'll grant you.

Anything can and sometimes does in finals so we'll have to wait and see.

I think the Eagles chances are improved by the loss of key players to sturt .Mainly one in Chambers 18 goals the last two games against the Eagles.
There is also the tiny tiny fact ;) that they played the Dogs last week. And many would compare playing the DOGS (in any type of game H&A or finals) just like playing a Grand Final .

Like you have said anything can happen ;)

Funny you mentioned that, without having the stats in front of me and not having much time to check them out, teams have generally struggled the week after playing Central, at one stage a few of us lads were calling it the curse of Centrals.

Some of us non Centrals footy fans have noticed the same trend in our teams .
Its one of those interesting little facts .perhaps Spell Check may have the details on hand .

It'd be an unusual situation if they did go on with it. Has it happened before that a team has won a premiership when the coach has already decided to move on?
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Barto that might be rarer than winning from an Elimination final!!!

This year it is 8 wins 10 losses and 1 draw after playing Central (excluding Round 1)

which is only one win off 50/50 over the season so I guess it means nothing

Even in the finals it is 1 win , 1 loss. Sturt beat the Eagles after playing the Dogs, and the Bays lost to Sturt after playing the Dogs
