Will West Play Finals in 09

As a North fan I am worried that North won't / don't have the fight to hold on. Was poor against Sturt and helped the Bays to a win today with some pretty ordinaly turnovers, and undisciplined play.

Westies must be fired up right now, and busting with confidence. I think North are heading in the opposite direction, with poor skills, poor decision making and lacking confidence up front. (thank heavens for White)

I think Eagles will beat South and North will beat both South and Norwood.

If West beat both North and Eagles (you'd expect they would on current form) then that would leave West with 19 points, Eagles with 21 points and North with 20 points.

West need a couple of upsets and wins over North and Eagles to have a chance. Unlikely, but possible.

We can only loose 1 game to have any chance of making it.

So basically we obviously have to beat the Eagles and North, with North being a major boggie team for us.

AND THEN beat either Sturt at Poo Park (when was the last time we did that?) or the Raging Tigers at the Bay.

If we make it, which is unlikely we will well and truly deserve to be there and could well win more than 1 game in the finals.

But seriously - As a Glenelg supporter I hope that West's finals fate is known well before the final round. I would not be at all confident of knocking off West at Richmond, given their home record this year, and the fact that a finals berth is on the line.
