On paper looks like a very strong North Adelaide side who you would imagine will be pumped and out to impress the new coach.
On the other hand Central are slowly getting players back into the side which is given oppurtunities to some players who may not be ready for league football just yet. I wasn't very impressed with Centrals performance especially the forword line against the Eagles. I do think the Dogs will improve on Round 1 but may not be quite ready for a team who is near full strength and raring to go.

After seeing the teams North Adelaide victory by 31 pts.

North does look strong on paper, but we all know what you do with paper.

For me the real interest will be to see how they execute the new game plan. A question to Rooster supporters- how many years has the Oatey/Nunan handball type game plan been the influence at Prospect?

I'm assuming, only from other posters on this site, that the game plan Heals will be implementing will be vastly different to the one that seems to have been in place for quite a while.

I'm really looking forward to see how this game pans out.

Here is the Doggies reserves line up for tomorrow's clash:

RESERVES:
Allocca, Brading, Catterall, Cochrane, Duncan, Dunne, Economou, Foldesdy, Frail, Habel, Hadden, Hannath, Hynes, Kelly, McShane, Nason, Porter, Reichert, L.Westhoff, White, Woodards

Good to see Richie Cochrane back after missing a couple of months with hamstring issues. Once again looks like a strong side and there will be at least 1 player to drop back from the league squad. I think it may be Jon Giles with Heath Lawry maybe playing in the league side and I wont be suprised if Ian Callinan doesn't come up with his corked thigh

Good post. North apparently will have a new game plan with more emphasis on defence action / accountability when the opposition have the ball. I don't see anything too radical with that thinking - should be a given IMO however the coach has pointed that out as a weakness in the previous 5 seasons under Jarman and I tend to agree with that.

Centrals are a proven winner and as usual haven't had to make wholesale list changes come the end of the season where as North have a large number of new players as well as a new game plan to "gel"' into the mix. It may take a few games to sort it all out. If we win tommorow that will mean two points only, as Centrals have on some occasions in the past started slowly whereas North have bolted out the blocks but the end result (come finals time) is that Centrals have taken the spoils and have the winning formula.

I just expect to see a very competitive effort from North and not get badly beaten.

We all know he is your favourite ALL TIME Kangaroos player Dutchy so you are no doubt eagerly anticipating feedback that he played well ;)

To be honest, he looks like he is struggling a bit at the moment with a knee injury and is probably only playing at 80% full capacity. While he hasn't put 4 consistant quarters of good footy together (yes, his problem at the top level as well, I know) he has had a couple of nice moments in the early trials and last week.

I think he is probably another couple of weeks of playing great footy, but at the moment, looks a little underdone and will be better for each run. Probably needs to concentrate a bit more on his foot skills, have let him down on a couple of occasions that I can think of, but other than that, he'll be right. I reckon he will play well when the Dogs and Bays meet on Anzac Day ;)

Big Phil, I tend to agree with Eddie's lack of consistency over 4 quarters, but if as you say, he is only 80% then when he is a 100% there is no way in hell anyone will be able to get near him...On a number of occasions last week, he hit the gas and was GONE....

You can just tell though he is a classy footballer, silky skills and genuine pace...

Oh and unfortunately I won't be able to get to Prospect this week, bloody oncall for work, seriously who needs blood on a weekend...?

I will be checking on here for score updates ...

Go you Dogs...

Anyone who extracts the urine from the CDFC end to enders? Someone who gets in between a corpulent middle aged Rooster and a beer?
