Pask - more info please.

Played just over half a dozen games for the Brisbane Lions a couple of years ago as a tall defender from memory, and was on Western Bulldogs list last year (2007). Was the boyfriend of famous swimming olympian Leisel Jones but I don't think they're together anymore.

We will watch this space for plan B now. Pask sounds like a good choice for a backman, Jarrad Redden will have to fill the forward/ruckman space I assume now we don't have Jacobs again.

Just thinking about Jacobs - this will be the third year in a row on the rookie list for Carlton and I'm not sure why they bothered to retain him given the zero chances he's had and the ruck stocks for the Blues.

Maybe Carlton have plans for him, but if they did, he would be on the main list. I prefer if he did come back and play for us.
I think that C. Bock might stay with Skippy for a few weeks, just to settle down anad then find a place.

A SA footy member dropped a rumour to me some time back .And he or she will know who they are .And not from an Eagles fan .
That Ron will get sacked in February I thought it was crap. But after seeing that we are about to have a board members election in Feb .And the fact that plan A just went down the drain who knows .
And no I am not stirring up shit I am just concerned about 2009 for our beloved Eagles.
What is going on at Oval ave ?

The question is who would want to coach the Eagles at the moment with the no recruitment policy at Woodville. Recuiting a 31 year old coming off 2 knee injuries and a fringe vfl player just isn't going to cut it.

Skipworth getting picked up is a major blow to the Eagles for next season. Disappointing from an Eagles point of view, but justifies Skipworth's decision to go to Bendigo a couple of years ago and pursue his goal of playing AFL footy again. Good for him.

Hopefully there is a gun midfielder out there somewhere that we can recruit. Unlikely at this time I would've thought. A quality midfielder or two to add to the squad is exactly what we need. I'm not concerned with any of the other positions. If we are to be a serious contender we need much better depth in the midfield than we had last season.

PS. To start getting antsy at Fuller and the board at this time of year is ridiculous! We've kept all of our good players from last year, we've had 5 young lads get picked up in the draft (3 of them still can play for us), we've rectified our CHB (and possibly leadership problems) with McGregor full time. Be optimistic about the coming season! I reckon the Eagles will come out all guns blazing in 2009 and climb back up the ladder.

I knew he would get picked up, simply because of the time spent around Essendon and the announcement he made that he will be returning should he not be drafted.

I don't think there really has been a lot of interstate recruits announced for all the clubs yet (about 1 for each team), so time will tell over the next month what happens.
