Fair enough Phil. It just seems to me that a lot of people don't know which oval is which when referred to by sponsor's names. And I wasn't sure why commentators go out of their way to go through the whole mouthful when "Bay" or "Parade" are so much simpler...

Gut feel only on this one, Broadspectrum (private company) was purchased by a much larger company (global I think) a few years ago, after they had signed the deal with Westies. I expect that the parent company will be a bit tight on the purse strings at present hence they may look twice at extending the existing sponsorship deal. Unfortunate if true.
