North top in two of those games, both fantastic wins for the Chookies.

Pity they dont include in-game deficits or our effort against South would be up there.

True, we've come over some big deficits, wasn't it about 37 points against South and 40 points against Sturt?

I know its been brought up before but the best comeback I've ever seen in my life was a Foundation Cup match (shortened quarters) when Glenelg were 59pts down at 3/4 time and one by 1 pt with a goal after the siren. I think it was against Sturt.

I thought some of Mals comebacks to Sydney Dog over Telstra Doom have been pretty good....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Can we send Psuedo's post to the 'Tiser, especially Barich, with a note to say, that is how you write a footy report....

Balance, discussion on how Sturt and Glenelg played, key players in the article mentioned, how they played and how the game was won......

The most remarkable 'in-game' comeback I've ever seen (leaving aside the 1978 GF!) was also a Sturt-Norwood game, at Norwood Oval circa mid 1980s (Rocky Roberts playing among others). Norwood hit the front by 30 points at the 20 minute mark of the final quarter, and (IIRC) Sturt rammed on 6.1 straight after that to win by 7 points. It was a free-flowing game (before anybody had much thought of the idea of flooding and maintaining possession at all costs when protecting a lead), and so it seemed less surprising at the time than it might have been today. (For emotional devastation, the Sydney loss to the Roos in 2004 after being 40 points up at 3/4 time far outstripped it.) For some reason my Rainman-like memory suggests that the final score was 137:130.

Your challenge, if you choose to accept it: dig up the Tiser's report of that game!

1983 ... Still have scars from that one ... Wilmott's first game IIRC, Flash Graham iced it with a wonder goal ... Once the Blues got within 20 points you could just see it was going to happen, they were untouchable!! :(

Both teams had like 5 or so players each away on state duty too, yet it was a corker of a game!!

Well Nort do it again, they've taken the previous 2006 record of coming back from 33 points down at half time to a win from 35 points down at half time.
I can't tell non-North supporters how awesome it is to watch gutsy comebacis/fightbacks like this, definately something unique that the SANFL hasn't seen for a long long time.

Other records from Statsman on the Roost:

For the second time this season North have broken a record in their ability to turn a game after half time.

Greatest Half-Time Comebacks [FOR](Against all teams):
55 1/2 time score: NA 7.7 v WT 16.8 final score: NA 21.18 d WT 21.11 Final Margin 7 pts Rd 4, 1976 Prospect
35 1/2 time score: NA 2.7 v Nw 8.6 final score: NA 10.16 d Nw 9.11 Final Margin 11 pts Rd 12, 1987 Norwood
35 1/2 time score: NA 7.3 v SA 12.8 final score: NA 20.18 d SA 13.12 Final Margin 48 pts Rd 14, 2006 Prospect
31 1/2 time score: NA 6.4 v WT 11.5 final score: NA 21.9 d WT 17.9 Final Margin 24 pts Rd 4, 1975 Prospect

Other Records:
North ended South's Longest Winning Sequence at Prospect. They had won the previous 6 matches at our home ground.
South kicked their highest 2nd quarter score at Prospect. Their 9.2 beat the 8.3 kicked in Rd 16, 1939
South's 9 goals equalled their most goals kicked in a 2nd Q against North overall. They kicked 9.1 in 2001 at Noarlunga
