Massive recruiting coup by the Tigers

Postby Pseudo » Wed Oct 01, 2008 1:49 pm

Apparently Buckets McKenzie has transferred to the Bays in time for the Grand Final!

It must be true, I read it on the SANFL website:

http://www.sanfl.com.au/news/sanfl_news/584/

Glenelg’s Jason ‘Buckets’ McKenzie can’t stop at just one or two lamb chops.
“I eat them by the bucketful,” he joked.

Shades of Royce Hart!

It figures. Wouldn't be the first time the Advertiser relied on safooty posters to do their proofreading

It seems he struggled his way through the game SP. Most difficult getting off the ground with 2 medals around his neck though! :D

Someone on the LifeFM pre match panel predicted him to win the Jack Oatey, I wonder if they put any money on their prediction?

I do have a few mates who put money on Buckets at 20/1. Pretty good odds for him actually seeing he had played very well in our previous two finals. I put my money on Hayesy (could not resist the 50/1 odds).

Kinda surprised that he won it.... but then, there were 20 or so Doggies players who could have raffled it. One of the joys of the Central side is that there isn't any one standout player, but a whole bunch of blokes who just do what is asked of them, and do it damn well....

Hard to be disappointed with losing to such a side. Enjoy it doggies, and enjoy it for as long as it lasts.

As far as I know they didn't Wedgie, and they are very much regretting it now, trust me...
