It was men versus boys the way that Glenelg brushed North aside and broke tackles. Gllenelg's ability to find loose payers on the small ground was incredible. If it wasn't for Schumacher with 36 touches, North would have lost by 150 points. It could be argued that he could have used the ball better, but generally there was no one to kick to. Glenelg defenders and midfielders covered every loose man.
Up forward, McBean, Hosie and Reynolds never got out of second gear and all were much too good for their opponents.
How did Matt Allen not play an AFL game. Sure, West Coast were strong when he was there, but there are many lesser players running around in the AFL.
