Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

The Panthers didn't play like a bottom team. Very impressed with the way they stuck to their game plan. Blanketed and stifled the Eagles all day and their sorties in to their forward lines were much more fluent than the Eagles. Their clearance work was excellent.
Mutch showed up his former teammates with a very good game.
Wright always seems to manage to get the Panthers up for a good game when playing his old club.
Unfortunately the Eagles bottom six players are poor and this could limit them as the season goes on.

Credit to South for their endeavour and effort, put us under a lot of pressure which forced mistakes. Eags looked a bit flat and the bye is coming at the right time. Sinor has been magnificent as captain this year and again displayed the leadership qualities required to get us over the line in a tight one.
Our wingmen do not get enough touches and are a weakness in our game. Maybe Beattie should play there when he returns from injury.
Luck is where opportunity meets preparation

Watched the game back last night. Frustrating as it was winnable, just lacked some poise in the final ten minutes.

Nice to see some dash and forward intent return though.

Oliver Davis, Kobe Mutch, Eamon Wilkinson, Arlo Draper, Elliot Dunkin named best for South.

Plenty has already been said about the umpiring :?
