Good game this one to watch as a neutral.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Cant believe the atrocious kicking for goal by both sides.

Norwood fortunate to come away with the win but then again the game is played over 100 minutes but it certainly could have gone either way.

Pressure from both sides was a feature but kicking for goal made the game a bit of a slog.

I think that the game revolves around how much Boyd dominates which he normally does against North.

North still have an excellent midfield trio in Wigg, Combe and Mayes.

I am obviously trying to make a case for North. I would be very disappointed if it were Norwood in a canter. If North showed their form from the first quarter last week they would win, but they are still producing too many turnovers.

And as always against North, Boyd was best man on the ground.
Perhaps at 198 cm tall he is considered not tall enough for the AFL, but there are many worse ruckmen than him in the AFL,
With due modesty, I was fairly close with my predictions. If I was giving votes for best on ground, I would have gone 3 Boyd, 2 Combe and 1 to Wigg.

Looking at the draw this week, North could be in the 5 this Saturday.

A lot depends on the next 3 weeks where they play Port at Alberton and as I always remind you North have won at Alberton twice as often as any other Port opponent. Then they play the improving West at Richmond and South at Prospect.
You would think that North would start favourites against Port and South. West at Richmond might be toss of the coin.
Given their insipid display against the Eagles just 3 weeks ago you wouldn't have given North a chance of being a final five side but now they are some chance.
So much depends on injuries to key players, both to North and the other clubs. Keenan Ramsey looked to be badly injured yesterday and will be missed.
I think that Matthew Panos, even at 33 years of age, is a huge loss for Norwood and Glenelg haven't been the same since McGree got injured.
