Even this year with Rowntree coming runner up, I honestly don't recall seeing a match this year and thinking that he dominated. The other thing that works against us over the years is that when we win we never demolish the opposition. Quite often the winning margin is only around 20 points and there are periods in the match where the opposition has matched us. As a result, we often do not get the full 3-2-1 votes so we miss out a bit there.
Good observation MrF, seems to have been our way since at least the early 2000's.
Spelly, how many times has an Eagles player been 2nd or 3rd over the last 25 years? Pyman, Cica, Colville. McKenzie?

Joel is a champion for the South Adelaide Football Club and really took his game to another level this year.
I expect him to win his 2nd Best and Fairest this year also.

Nick Liddle would also go close.
