ROUND 18:
SAT 22nd August 2:10 pm
Port vs South
West vs Norwood
WWT vs North
Sturt vs Adelaide
Central vs Glenelg

ROUND 19:
SAT 29th August 2:10 pm
Norwood vs WWT
South vs Central
North vs Sturt
4:30 pm
Glenelg vs Adelaide
SUN 30th August 2:10 pm
Port vs West

3 big games this round: Port vs South/ West vs Norwood/ Dogs vs Glenelg all having a bearing on finals contention.
In particular the West vs Norwood game could see those sides swap positions.
If South win both games from here they could sneak into the top 3.
Port vs West in the final game of the season on a Sunday could be a blockbuster, with the potential to decide the fate of up to four clubs.
Maybe a nail biting finish coming up?
I'm on the Panther bandwagon.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

South needs to win both matches and needs Port to lose the other match to get a top three spot. And for West to win only one or Norwood to lose both.
West needs to win both matches or win just one and for that team they defeat to lose the other match - eg. if they beat Port only, South will have have had to won this week as well as for South to lose to Central the next week; if they win this week only, Norwood will need to lose the following week and South to lose either one.

If Port, Norwood and Glenelg win this week, that makes the final round obsolete as far as top three or finals making aspirations goes.

Not quite; South would require either
A: West to win at least one game against either Port or Norwood, and then that side also drops the other game. (South have their own fate in their hands to some extent here in that they can take care of Port themselves this weekend, and increase their odds. In other words,)
2nd. Port or Norwood 12 wins
3rd. South 11 wins 1 draw
4th. West 11 wins
5th. Port or Norwood 11 wins.
B: South wins its final two games, West wins its final two games and the Eagles take care of Norwood.
2nd. West 12 wins
3rd. South 11 wins 1 draw
4th. Port 11 wins
5th. Norwood 11 wins

Let's hope that doesn't happen.

Based on that, Centrals can still mathematically make 5th by %?
If Port beat South this week by say 7 goals, Centrals beat Bays by same, that leaves the last game winner gets 5th spot?

South have scored 84 more points for than against .
Central have 35 more points.
So South's differential is 49 points better than the Dogs.
Without doing the percentage formula you could say that it is 8 goals 1 point and given that South's defence is 126 points tighter than the Dogs' I'd guess that South's percentage is roughly 9 goals better than Central's. Hopefully South have their finals place booked before they play the Dogs in the final round. Ideally we'd like them going for a top 3 berth. South just need to win this weekend and the final round will be a three or four way shoot out for third and second positions.

We need you blokes to knock off Port in the Elimination Final, so don't fall to pieces completely.
Just screw up a little bit and everything will work out just fine.

Hey, if I were the boss of Norwood you'd win a lot less than that!
Anyway, just beat Port, just this once. You can all go lick windows to your heart's desire after you do that one thing. ;)
