Biggest Improvers. Your Prediction of 2013.

your prediction as to which team would be the biggest improver, ya clod!

I think this Thread has ended up with crossed purposes. Some are predicting Ladder position, some ranking improvement (or not?).

Perhaps some commentary on why teams will improve (or not?) would prove helpful?

For example, more than simply playing stocks, I feel a change in coaching structure will benefit Port Adelaide no end.

On the other hand I sense the Collins era combined with a LOT of Outs and not many Ins will send Westies tumbling.

I agree, it WILL benefit Port & I believe that West will tumble. Players leave, Collins stays, give him a pay cut, he still stays, so Mickan packs up & leaves, seems like there's gonna be some disharmony at West this year but I could be wrong.

Yes, but this will be countered by the fact that the SANFL clearly has a vendetta against One Port (tm) and will go to the most ridiculous lengths to limit, hinder, or othewise prevent Port from achieving its full potential on each of the SANFL and AFL stages.

Interesting to note that the "experts" in yesterdays paper have the final five being the same as last year - they only had changes in positions 6-8.

They do realise that that hasn't happened as far as I can recall since 1986-1987 when Glenelg, North, Norwood, Port and Woodville played off in two consecutive major rounds (if only Spell Check hadn't peen p!ssed off on this forum he'd be able to confirm).

So in all likelihood at least one team is going to drop out and another team is going to come in.

Whilst I am confident we'll make the top five (based on our list being vastly improved compared to last year) you also have to like Souths chances, given of the bottom four clubs from last year they are the only one who gets the play the other three teams three times this year, so their draw is favourable.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I've got to put my order into FOOT-e TIMES SA on Sunday night ... going to be tricky given the mass movements at most clubs.

Still smarting from last year tipping Port as the big improver, Eagles to get to the GF and West to finish 7th
