Agree! BUT beware of it becoming to good, as Port will be looking for another ground to play on when the whole Adelaide oval deal goes pear shaped and they finally realise that moving oval was not the light at the end of the tunnel.

$6+ Mill for 12 games a year is lunacy but given the use by 3 other RSL Clubs in the area and the baseball in summer that figure starts to make sense. This facility should be seen as a community facility housing the most historic of all clubs in the Norwood area.
I think the best way to cover costs would be to levy all the other SANFL Clubs to pay for the honour of being allowed onto our hallowed turf

Wouldn't count on that. I believe the Baseball team were exploring other options as a home ground although that talk has gone quiet. Have they smoothed over their differences??

Baseball is staying at Norwood from something I read a while back they had talks with the Council and would continue to use Norwood.

I think they always wanted to stay, but the residents wanted them out due to the Foul Balls being dangerous flying into there yards.

Alberton could easily cater for Power crowds except showdowns. Money to be saved there!
