As opposed to foley and rann pissing tax payers miney bailing out port against many creditors threatening to close port due to lack of repayments. Rob Lucas made a complaint about I believe.
So very very lucky they bank with a major sponsor and it would be bad PR for that sponsor to foreclose is all I can say.

Wasn't the Adelaide Oval upgrade negotiated and agreed at least in part to save the SANFL from the costs of subsidising the Power.kickinit wrote: when did port get tax payers money?

Sure Milke Rann needed an alternative to the Libs proposal, and the SACA needed a bail out too.
But the taxpayers of SA shelled out big to subsidise the less than 2% of the population who ever attend the site.

to a point there where many pro's for the adelaide oval upgrade. more profit for both afl clubs, help saca with their's and there was talk about using it for the commonwealth games or something like that. But Port Adelaide where never given any money directly from the government as far as I know, like UK is indicating.

SACA stated in a members email and maybe even in the media that they were happy with their debt levels and ability to service them. But if the Government is willing to pay them for you then why not take free money?
