I was just about to say the same thing, I don't think the clubs have much influence on directors decision making process as we all would think/hope.

It's all "fate acompli" the AFL clubs will get exactly what they want with the AFL-SA (Oops) sorry SANFL rolling over as usual.

The best we can hope for is that they (AFL Clubs) accept playing in the SANFL reserves comp which in turn take over the under 18's usual opposite ground structure and vice versa the under 18's play before the League side which is what the SANFL (Oops) sorry the AFL wanted so that talent scouts could watch both games at the same venue to keep an eye on possible recruits.

The Crows/Power coaches etc, want to keep an eye on and place their current listed players in positions of interest, which I am sure will raise a comment from my mate Centurion, so where they play is of no concern to either the AFL or the AFL (SA) oh hell SANFL you know what I mean, even if they don't. ;)

Cheers,

keh?

I honestly can't see that they will play in the reserves competition. I can see them playing in the league competition.

Having them in the SANFL reserves seems to be the happy medium. Hopefully it's seriously being considered as an option.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

To answer Matts question from yesterday, if there is one current administrator I would want in my corner to take this on it would be Chris Davies.

He is very well aware of the impact changes will make on SANFL clubs and I am sure he understands the feeling among SANFL supporters.

That said, the way it works is that this is not his decision. If he is the SANFL front man for negotiations with the Crows he will need to find a solution that best fits both parties. One a proposal is formed it needs club director approval.

Please note that the reality is that this is an issue that will not go away, I can't see the status quo being the case in 2015 and the way momentum is building even change for 2014 is a possibility.

Agreed that the SANFL reserves is the best place for a Crows reserves side.

The VFL or some other league is the best place for a Crows (or Power) reserve side.

SANFL reserves would be second best.

SANFL league is a very, very distant last.

Maybe .... I can see an issue with stand alone VFL / AFL reserves games being played in Adelaide as further competition to watching SANFL and the media coverage they would bring.

In the end from my perspective ... anywhere but the SANFL league.

Out of interest Pseudo, if it happened, hypothetically speaking of course, would you ever go watch a league game between Glenelg and an AFL reserves side, say Port or the Crows???

;)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

The reason why it will happen is that the SANFL ensured that the Emporeor did not make it on to the commission thus it will happen!!!

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.
