There were a number of players who made themselves unavailable for the WA game this year but that number will surely more than double.
We'll end up playing a virtual under 23 side and probably get beaten by a bunch of fat, bald blokes.
Result is meaningless.
Can only assume the pressure to play the AFLFarQ comes from the AFL.

If that's the case then Ronny Fuller and Collo should team up to get the boys over the line!
Promote it as "the Dream Team thats never been seen".

F###... no Queensland trip. Booooooooo!

Thats awesome news. Planning to head OS that weekend and can go a day earlier now as North wont be playing. Thank you SANFL! :D

Another dance with the Bangkok locals heh Wedge, you must be a sight over there in that red and white V top!

Never been to Bangkok mate.
On the draw I assume North requested another round 1 bye as its the worst time to have one. Surely the SANFL wouldnt screw them with the same thing two years running.
And yay, once again we get two games at Elizabeth.

For SA vs Fortitude Valley?

What are they likely to bid? 2 pies and a hot dog?

The match is a complete and utter waste of time and won't draw 1500 people.

But someone might get injured.

Playing this game degrades the SA jumper.

Its is a waste of time....

Is it NEAFL North of the whole NEAFL & are AFL players able to bolster the NEAFL ranks???

This could the biggest case of who cares since the Allies. maybe the best player can get the Allen Aylett Medal

A few observations as a South supporter:

- Only 5 night games next year. I'm not complaining.
- Play STU, WA, WWT and GLG 3 times. Not sure how we avoided playing Centrals 3 times, given we only played them twice in 2012.
- 11 straight games between rounds 7 and 17
- 4 of last 5 games away from home
- 5 of first 7 games at home. Not sure if this is good or bad?!
- On face value the draw looks a little better than this season's mess.

It was only a matter of time before the other states got involved.

It is the northern conference were playing, and I believe we're only playing the NEAFL and the TSL in the times that SA has the bye. I believe that we're still in line to face the Vics in 2014.

Could have a trial against Morningside to keep up the match fitness?
