But why shouldn't Norwood (or any other league's players) be paid when the players are relisted if they've been off a list for a year?

Nick Lower, demonstrably a better player after a year with Bassett than after four or so with Mark Williams, a fact recognised by his re-drafting by Fremantle after Norwood spent a year providing facilities and coaches for him to train and play.

The system's **** and no end of me hassling roger#10 on twitter seems to have fixed it.

LOL - a fringe player at two clubs who has now been delisted. Bass certainly helped him.

Perhaps these blokes are more "found out" at the top level than ever so well prepared for it by you lovely chaps.

So you're happy to trade away Power players and receive nothing in return? Same thing.

You are aware that Andrew Demetriou doesn’t come around and force players to play in the AFL?? The players themselves choose to go into the draft or not. If you don’t want your players to get drafted after you have turned them into superstars then you need to have a no AFL aspirations recruiting policy.

Yes it is.

FFS, all I'm saying is that any club should be recompensed when their players are drafted to the AFL. Given the recent TV deal, not paying a second tier club an nominal amount if a player is re-drafted really rams home how the AFL don't do a very good job of governing Australian Rules Football in this country.

They do a great job of brainwashing mindless sheep mind you.

Do Norwood compensate SAAFL clubs when they take one of their players? Genuine question, I'm not sure how it works
