Wasn't 1984 - you guys OVER achieved in that year! :(

I've long thought that the result that season played a significant part in a period of underachieving

I don't know about us underachieving. Others were better simple as that. In the mid eighties it was Glenelg and North doing a number on everyone and then after that Cahill's Port dominated the competition. We were gutted in 91 and scammed a granny in 93. I reckon we underachieved a bit in the mid nineties but not the eighties.

That's one of the funniest posts I've read this week. Written off? Straight sets? Are you stretching for an 'us' against 'them' mentality? No one wrote 'em off and no one suggested straight sets. Though, plenty hoped.

F@%k me with the rough end of a pineapple.

Is REB really a Norwood supporter?

Have my doubts.

Because everyone knows Port, Glenelg & North only won premierships by default.

Vastly superior Legs just couldn't get it together.

Next you'll be telling us Bigfoot doesn't exist.

I'd love you to be right about that... Redlegs are the greatest underachievers in the SANFL and yet their supporters continually crap on as though they dominate the league (-|

What a load of shite.

1. Greatest underachievers = Glenelg - 4 premierships in 90 years / 13 losing Grand Finals + have the biggest mouth and try to dominate both the Crows and SANFL
2. Crap on about domination = Port Adelaide - The greatest SA club who couldn't wait to go to the AFL because they were too big for the SANFL have then have single handedly sent the SANFL to the edge of bankruptcy because their supporters dont turn up.

West have beaten Norwood this season. We won by 1 point but didnt hit the lead till 20 seconds after the final siren.
If West wi9n it wont be a huge upset. Forget the bookies. Its a 50/50 game

How many other clubs supporters didn't turn up during the time Port supporters dominated the SANFL crowds.
Their domination in those years far outway any other club in the competition, they are still beating 80% of the clubs today with attendances in the SANFL.
Yes the AFL team isn't attracting big $$$ with their crowds but the SANFL have to take some responsibility with the pricing.
Why are clubs like Brisbane making profits with similar crowds? Isn't that why Adelaide Oval was was brought into the frame?
