We had only 2 less inside 50's than North today.
Trust me we were trying to score

Having seen your club turned into a Roman Legion square on the field by Emporer Bassett, it's win ugly regardless. Your team only really scores once the other team has lost it's way and either goes defensive too far ( West ) or runs out of pressure on the ball.
I maintain your the best team but you have to show it, purists can't rate you until you play football not rugby league with 18 on the field!
Like West, your coach is an Ego-maniac........ At least you will both have new coaches next year :)

Dont be so sure, my mail is that Bass will still be at Norwood next year

There's no doubt Bass' ethos is prioritised first on defensive focus, understandable given he played so much footy in defence that this would be at the centre of his philosophy.

However, I think the dour aspect of Norwood's game has increased thoughout the season as much due to changes in personnel as anything else .. Losing Newton took some firepower away and Jericho has missed several games also. So we've played a lot of kids that many thought not ready and wouldn't have been in our 21 had we been a little healthier.

Anyone who caught our first quarter at Alberton, v the Eagles in Round 3, quarters in early season matches against North and West, v the Bays a coupla times, Sturt at home, v South a couple times would have seen a team capable of scoring fluently.

I know the pressure increases and it gets harder this time of year, but I still think we're capable of scoring relatively well. (at least I effin hope so)

its easy to forget that norwood won easily yesterday which added to the bore factor. One sided games are always looked upon as forgettable contests from the perspective of neutral fans. Would it have been anymore exciting for neutral supporters if the score was 20 goals to 2 instead of 8 to 2? People tend to overreact and i sense we have a few fans on here that are just a bit dissapointed that there team is out. Keep in mind that West Coast and sydney played two grand finals which were very defensive contests and are looked upon as classics because they were close. I found yesterday's game very entertaining because norwood won.

Norwood were the higher ranked side so I would have liked to see West in their red clash jumper and if not, Norwood wearing theirs ;) ;)

Norwood correctly did not wear the red clash guernsey after finishing minor premiers and therefore why did West not wear theirs?

West will probably turn up in their clash strip this week to make it look like they have 36 defenders on the field instead of their usual 18...!

MMC Andy Collins says they(norwood) were the one's that started with 7 or 8 in the backline, first 1/4 west kicking with the breeze they had 8 players in our forward line go figure. It is amazing how many people on here are saying how bad west were but still blaming us for the quality of the game. The only thing we did wrong was not kick straighter.

Once upon a time, two football coaches met each other as they arrived at Aami stadium. Coach 'A' said to Coach 'B', "Instead of each team playing for a berth in the GF, why don't we put on a game of entertaining football for the spectators that turned up today?" Coach 'B' replied "Yea, that's a good idea, let's do it" and so it came to pass that the losing team's Board of Directors, officials and supporters said after the game, that was really appreciated. Let's do it again next week. And they all lived happily ever after.

Hopefully North can put Collo's Roman Legion Squareheads to the sword and prove attacking pressure is the way to go, coz God help us if the other club coaches think it's now the way to go moving forward!
Thankfully Bassett is moving on with Collo right behind him..... Go the Cok's :o

Mainly by Centrals and Port supporters who both think they should be in it automatically?
I'll be excited by the Norwood vs West rematch in the GF no matter how tightly defensive it is. ;)

Not just Central and Port supporters, I wouldn't even both watching a Norwood v West GF on TV, I'd be more likely to watch a Lassie re-run.
Don't take it personally though, its a lot more West's than Norwood's fault IMHO.

I don't think West or Norwood supporters would really care as long as they win and the same would apply if it was North. If we win "ugly" this week and, if in a GF, we won and it was an "ugly" win who is really going to care being supporters of the winning side? It is only neutrals complaining but guess what you can't always win, you can't always win pretty and by big margins and sometimes games are ugly - often because of climatic factors but that is the way it is!
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.
