Either way, it was the West that have developed consistency in winning, whatever method that may be. Norwood and Central won't let West win with a free flowing attacking game which they can use against the lower sides like Sturt. Having said that, West will need some aspects of this attacking game if they do want to challenge the top two.

How far West can go remains the only intriguing thing about season 2012 for me. It is clear Norwood and Central are the benchmark and it is clear sides 4 to 9 are very average.

That's why I am asking actually, does the game plan which works against Sturt applicable to a team more competent?
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

A game of two halves ... the Bays dominating the first, whilst West dominated the second.

I didn't think West could recover from early in the second but I was wrong, they clearly have improved from last year.

For the Bays, it's the sort of inconsistent performance you'd expect from a young and inexperienced side, but there's plenty of upside for the coming years.

I still can't see West troubling Central or Norwood, but you never know.

The Bays are now back in the pack for a spot in the elimination final.
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

First half I felt was more even than the scores indicated - roughly same scoring shots with Bays accuracy very good - second half once west started kicking straight was only a matter of time.

Goal by Hitchcock was an absolute ripper from 50m on a fair angle

Glenelgs skills were just shit. If it wasn't for our supreme accuracy and Westies lack thereof the Bays would've been flogged by 60+

There were a few passages of play where the kicks were spot on, or a few knock ons where something came off, but generally our decision making and skill errors were deplorable.

Twice in the third we had a chance to have a shot for goal, but decided to take the "next option". Both resulted in a turnover and both resulted in a Westies goal.

West just sat up the zone on the edge of the centre square and pressed from there, and we had no answers....

Really missed the Goat last night too.
