Real big chance here for Port to end their drought against the Dogs. Coming off a good win against the Roosters they face an incosistent Dogs side still trying to find the right strucutres.

Pumpa is available again this week and it will be interesting to see if comes straight back in. If Pumpa is to come back into the side you would think one of Templeton, Reichart or Lawton would be the ones to make way, otherwise the Dogs would be extremly top heavy.

If recovered from the 'man flu' James Gowans would come straight back into the side. With Luke Habel being close to BOG last week it would either be Vater or Waldhutter to make way. Personally i really like what Waldhutter brings to the side, penetrating kick, strong body while Vater hasnt put a foot wrong but i think will be the one to miss out.

Symes would also have to be a chance to get a Crows call up with a couple of injuries to the black birds over the weekend.

My tip Dogs in a close one by 9 points.

Both sides are coming off pretty comfortable wins with the Dogs touching up the Double Blues to the tune of 79 points while the Maggies got themselves off the bottom of the ladder with a solid win over North. The Doggies have an amazing record against Port in recent years but the home side will be full of confidence, so Central will need to be at their best. Back to back TV games for the Bulldogs.

Dogs comfortably for me. Too much competition for spots if guys come back fro injury to allow guys in the team to slack off, not to mention they're probably too scared of what Roy, Thommo and the Gowans would do if they did slack off. Some guys really have a lot to prove if they want to ensure their spot in our best 21.

No, not always Sam but in the last couple of seasons I think the stations realise that their listenership would be down by some numbers due to the TV coverage.

That being said, I think it is a good chance that the Glenelg v Central game next week, which is being covered by ABC TV, will also be called on radio.

I just watched the replay from Saturdays Sturt game and one things i noticed was how easy Sturt ran the ball out of defence at times. With Lawton and Hardy in the forward line there isnt alot of pace once the ball hits the deck. Sturt were strolling the ball out of defence in periods.

I wouldnt mind seeing Jarrod Schiller spend a bit more time in the forward lines. He is brilliant defensivly and has that knack of bobbing up in the forward 50. Not sure whether we can afford to lose him to much from the midfield.

Just a thought anyway.

Based on everyone named in the Central side being fit (fat chance of that) i would think Vater despite being named on the wing may miss out with O'Hara coming back into side, both very similar players and would play the same role.

The second player to miss out imho would either be Reichart or Sutherland depending on weather conditions tomorrow and whether or not Cockshell plays in the reserves.

I really hope Waldhutter keeps his spot in the side. His attack on the ball is first class and his kicking ability is brilliant.

Last time we played we got smashed in the rucks when it was Cockshell/Mikeljohn vs Hannath this time around it could be Sutherland/Hannath vs Mikeljohn will be an interesting battle.

Port by 19pts, not opposed to Cockshell and Summerton playing in the magoos, more suggests that Port are gaining some depth on the league list and places have to be earnt which can only be a good thing for the club.

Is it Power listed Mitch Banner who is named in the Port Magpies reserves.

I take it then the Power will be transferring Banner to another SANFL club for better league oppurtunties. :?

Yes, it is Mitch Banner, the Power listed player named in the Magpies reserves.

He is only playing his 2nd game back after a long injury lay off due to a knee issue.
