Sturt were awful yesterday, wooden spoon form for sure.
Take nothing away from West though, they should play like that more often. Much more entertaining to watch them. I can't remember how many times they wandered into a vacant goal square to kick an easy goal. You would think that might have been addressed by the Sturt coaching staff somewhere during the game, but, it wasn't.
Well done Westies, they will play finals footy this year without a doubt.

For Sturt to get the spoon, Port have to win at least once more.

Final Round of the season
Could this become the Spoon Day Shootout?

I hope this doesn't happen... we need to be clear of the spoon before that day otherwise I fear we'll go back to back... Port will have a lot more drive to avoid the spoon than we will...

Worst effort by Sturt that I've seen for quite some time, we make Westies look like a fast running, quick ball movement footy team. Both times I've seen them this year they've moved the ball quickly, great kicking to a leading target and good contested marking. Well done.
