I thought Kuliwokowski (Sp?) had a bigger impact on the game than Allan in the first half, including the goal Allan cost his side with the report. Not sure how many possesions Kuliwokowski had in the first half but all the seemed to be damaging and 3 times he was directly responsible for a Port goal.

While Allan missed a relatively easy shot at goal at the 23rd minute mark of the second quarter with North only 12 points down (thats been my biggest critisim of Allan, blokes like Gowans, Callinan just ice them kicks 99.9% of the time) Port then took the ball coast to coast and kicked an easy goal.

Half time was probably the time to run someone else on Allan for half a quarter or so as Allans elite fitness levels are well documented i dont think Kuliwokoski could run with him anymore.

If there is anyone in the Port side that could run with him for 4 quarters it is Killa. He is the fittest player in that side by a fair bit, and has a big engine. I thought Killa worked hard all day and tried to make Allan accountable, but Allans smarts around the ground, and the fact that North use him whenever possible enabled him to get 34 possessions or something which is 3 or so less than his average this season.

i wouldn't have a clue about port players fitness levels but i dont think you can have any player try and run will Allan for the full length of game. If you try this i think Allan will just run out the game better and eventually get on top of you becoming more damaging as the game goes on. Would have thought at one period it would have been better to give Kuliwokowski a ten minute rest towards the end of the quarter. At the end of the day Port got the WIN and it didnt matter and alot of Allans possesions were in the back half of the ground.

With Central this week i hope a combination of Schiller and O'Brien shuffle Allan depending on field position.

When you see blokes rested after 5 mins of the opening qtr it makes you wonder why Killa wasn't rested.
