What sometimes i think is forgetton when it comes to Central following is that generally away attendances wont be huge, you have to remember for a majority of Central supporters who live in the Northern suburbs away trips are generally at least 30 minutes away and at times as far as an 1 hour plus to say Noarlunga, then take into account alot of Dogs supporters are also from the barossa and your looking at fairly big travelling distances.
This also takes its toll on Central home games when away supporters are expected to generally travel 30 minutes plus to watch their side in games they generally have loss.
The supporters and interest are there as proven by the fact you can get 35K + to GF's involving the Dogs its just getting them there every week thats the issue.
A full 30 minutes away? WOW!
Mate, anyone who lives in Adelaide can never, ever use traffic or travel distance as any type of excuse. Heading to play South away merely means leaving 30 whole minutes earlier than it would if you were playing West, Sturt or Glenelg away. With the express way Alberton is about 20 minutes from Elizabeth.
It isnt the travel that keeps people away from Elizabeth at Doggies home games. Be it warranted or otherwise it is the reputation Elizabeth has built up over the years. Not the travel time.
If it was played at Adelaide Oval we would have got 35K there. Well thats what the Power keeps wanting us to believe.
You honestly dont think there is people that would rather travel 5 minutes up the road than drive 35-45 minutes down main north road or south road or through the city to spend there saturday arvo.
Not sure what point 1 has to do with anything.
Shit supporters if that is the way they think. I guess you'll be able to judge that better than me though.
