So you would rather drink alone than in a social situation.

My day out

Got to Alberton Oval early afternoon

Walked past the PA Cheer Squad, who by cheer squad standards were very quiet, then I saw the scoreboard for the 2nds game

Bought a sausage in bread, with onions and tomato sauce and a lemonade

Found Bayman by the scoreboard as arranged

Bayman backed PA , what a goose !
I didnt have a bet

I put my sunnies on, damn it wronggggg , I grabbed my 3D glasses

Bayman cracked a stiffy over this young honey wearing a multi colored mini skirt
Later he was purving at a sheila of Latino appearance, who I must admit was over cleviating, and showed off a spectacular pair of breasts

Was looking forward to having Booney join me under the scoreboard as arranged
Booney was a no show
Later found out he was socialising with a few buddies he had not caught up with in a while
He was going to come over at 3/4 time, but continued to be sidetracked
I was so disappointed we could not remenis about game 1 in the cricket season of 93/94 when be both top scored for our respective teams

In the clubs warm up, a player spotted BAYMAN in the crowd and waved to him

The game started
For the 1st 15 minutes I seen NW play some of the best footy Ive seen at the club

At half time, Bayman left the oval to buy Pilkos pasties
He gave me one for free
A lass behind us came back and told her group that they sold out of pies and pasties at Alberton

I had my hand leaning on the fence and felt a sensation
I shook my hand, and away flew 2 bees, and I got 2 bee stings , ooooouch

PA played well to get bcak in the game and at 3/4 time both footballing experts Bayman and myself thought PA would over run NW and win

NW win the game
Bayman lost his bet
I was happy my team won

It was a great day , Ive always loved going to Alberton Oval games, to see any game of footy
Catch up with a few old school mates that still go to see PA games
The only sour note was the non appearance of Booney

I didn't realise the profound effect I had on your day mate. A negative one at that. Sorry mate.

Would explain the plaintive keening I heard all day, 'where's Booney?' followed by soft, web sobs.

Anyone care to explain our lateral thinking coach and WTF he's on about here? From MMCM.

Interestingly, Norwood coach Nathan Bassett doesn't attribute Port's improvement this season to its new faces.

``I know people talk up their recruits but Wilson, Cockshell, McKenzie... they've got those players anyway,'' Bassett said.

``Wilson is (Brad) Mercer and Cockshell is Judd Robson.''

Is he saying they didn't need to recruit these guys?

I think he's saying structurally they are the same or similar, and possibly might have shared an opinion that he didn't think these guys were necessary.

I agree with the general gist, that Port are showing better form primarily through the same players they had there last season, from what Ive seen ... Credit the players themselves and the coaching staff if that is the case.

Sometimes I wish he wouldn't.

Unless it's about Andy Collins of course.

How could anyone drink West End ? I bought one at the Unley Common two years ago and had to throw it away. Still getting over that experience even today.
I'd never let corporate deals dictate my drinking.
My order of preference on taste alone is:
Dortmunder DB
Asahi DB
Peroni Nastro Azzurro
Verhoek
Kirin
Kingfisher
Tiger
Cascade light, when in the situation for a light.
James Boag

ERK. Asahi and Peroni is rank! :vom:

Isn't it interesting how opinions and tastes vary?..
Generally, I like fairly hoppy, dry, and fairly bitter beers, and dislike sweet ones.
But, sometimes one of those characteristics pushes one up my list despite other components I like less.
I'm not doctrinaire - I let my taste buds do the choosing...
EPIGENETICS - Lamarck was right!
