Say what you like re off field support but on the field this has to be one of the most successful mergers in South Australian sport ....

Pretty good off the field too I reckon, regardless of supporter numbers. WWT appears to go out of its way to pay homage to the history of both W and WT. I s'pose this is necessary in order to placate the old fans, but in effect WWT is paying far better service to its roots than any of the other 8 clubs.

If my mob was ever to bite the bullet and merge (and note that I am pitching an extreme hypothetical here) then I hope that they'd use the W & WT merger as a model.

Here is a question for Aerie the stats man can you tell me how many finals games have Woodville/West Torrens and also Centrals have played in since 1991 in comparison to Port Adelaide Magpies since 1991 i know Central have played finals since 1994 till 2011 except for 1999 but i am not sure of games for the period 1991 to 1993 i would suggest that both clubs must have played close to 30 finals games in this period ?????

Wow I would never had thought it possible all those years starting way back in 1975 or 1976 .All those god awful years of Port Norwood Glenelg sturt well ok everyone bar a couple of clubs .Killing my Torrens on the field .Yes ok there wwere good years but never in my life did Torrens make the grandfinal .
And now I have seen 3 winning flags (balcking out the losses) who would have thought it !!!
The only thing more incredible was having my handshook by so many dogs fans sunday .My how both teams fans have grown up since 2000
