Every Player's 2011 Individual Stats (note: big file)

Postby scott » Sun Jul 31, 2011 9:42 pm

Due to popular demand, here is the individual statistics of all 361 players to have played league football in 2011 so far. It's updated up until right now, so includes yesterday's three matches.

(Apologies for the size but it's the easiest way I could do it)

(And it's sorted by total disposals)

Fantastic work, Scott, very detailed stuff and really well done.

Eddie Sansbury's numbers make interesting reading from a Magarey Medal perspective. Maintains pretty close to his average most games (in other words, its not a couple of massive matches that skews his average - top game of 29, against an average of 23.2), keeping him under the eye of the umpires.. His run from the back half, in a top two team, would be very hard to miss surely.

How Matt Suckling polls will also be worth noting, particularly given a very high handball to kick ratio, but also noting a very high tackle count. Also does a lot of work as the classic midfielder, with relatively low inside/rebound 50's. Given its his first SANFL season, he may suffer from the "lack of knowledge/recognition" factor early on from the umpires.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Good pick up. His season is up there with the most consistent. Hasn't really bottomed-out in any games...

With Paul Thomas missing a few games for Central this season, Eddie should win the Dogs Best and Fairest and would be a real chance to win the Magarey Medal for sure.

I'm not sure what Sansbury's odds are at the moment but he is a real chance to become the most recent Indigenous winner of the Magarey since Mark Naley in 1991.
