Frontrunners

Yep, we've won 1 flag in the past 26 years and keep good crowds in the interim. Definitely front runners I'd say

It really is a pity people don't think before posting.

Sigh ... piss-o-meter busted again I see. :-B

If you look atthe glory eras of the SANFL i.e 70s/80s, Legs were always pulling huge numbers. I can remember a game against the lowly Peckers in 87 when we got over 12 k during the day. No argument simply because we get some night games, our numbers are up. The club has done a great job promoting the club, and it does help that we have a heavy following, albeit many bandwagoners!

1996, Norwood played Port at the Parade the last match before Port went into the AFL, ground filled to over 18 000 people, many more turned away at the gates because the ground reached capacity, they played a legends match prior to the game proper - in the main game, Gary McIntosh went the full shrt front on a Port player and had him out cold for a few minutes, - to have been in a massive crowd like that at an SANFL match was an awesome experience!

The demise of the Crows is a huge factor too.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

The fact that such terrible beer is at other grounds helps too!

Nah, cool is Little Creatures Pale Ale which I drink at home.
The overrated beers are all those tasteless beers with clear, blonde, super or dry in their name.
Coopers is merely a compromise between a good beer and the Japanese owned swill that you get at all grounds except for Norwood. Coopers stopped being "cool" and became mainstream well over a decade ago now.

PS Tooheys New I could handle but I've only encountered that at one ground this year. I've had to revert to West End Draught or Bundy at ridiculously over inflated prices!

I really do not care what you all call them but i think it is great they are all returning to the SANFL Band Wagon and giving the other insipid AFL the flick absolutely fantastic well done Norwood now its time the other clubs lifted the bar especially Central fans after 9 flags in 11 years you would think they would have a least 10,000 members so whats wrong at Centrals ????
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

Hit em hard let them get up and hit em again.

Some of the longtime fans I remember from the 1990s are no longer with us...have either moved out of the area or have passed away...

And I don't know why people bag Centrals so much about their attendances...our attendances have averaged between 3000-3500 for a very long time...I'll be concerned when we get less than 2500 at a home match that has reasonable weather...

And I couldn't care if the supporters that have pushed Norwood and Glenelg attendances up are bandwagoners or not...as long as they're buying memberships, season tickets and/or merchandise...they're supporting their local club and the SANFL and not the AwFuL!!!

I know people including couples who support other teams who go along on friday evening games because of the atmosphere and proximity to the games and enjoy it immensely.
Its basically the same price for drinks as sitting in a pub and they get to see a game live; its proximity to restaurants and the town also helps.
The job that a temporary staffer did to generate memberships (past player and otherwise) was a grand result that slo has a direct bearing on attendances even if people only go 50% of the time.

and we're bandwagoneers not bandwagoners... :)
always forgive your enemies...nothing annoys them so much
