I don't know that it's possible, but can you explain what this sentence means?

the 4 I refer to is the bottom 4.

Can you graph that......
"This windfall from the Adelaide Oval decision cannot be turned into a moment when the SANFL sells off the farm to underwrite its lazy league clubs."

I only watched the game against North on TV last week, and unfortunately will miss the game this weekend as well, but I was impressed with Day and Raymond in defence. In particular I liked their disposal by foot. Raymond looks to have some class to go along with the likes of Jarrad and McKenzie who have elite disposal from the backlines.

Tiller would have to be highly likely to miss. This may be an opportunity for Day to cement a spot at Centre Half Back.

My side:

F: Treeby Hentschel Fairclough
HF: Rimington Grocke Cicolella
C: Hall Lewis Rayner
HB: McKenzie Day Jarrad
B: Giuffreda Grieger Raymond
R: Parry Rowntree Powell
I: Bock Goldsworthy Allmond

Ins: Treeby, Grieger
Outs: Tiller (inj), Irons

That's a good point you have raised Aerie regarding Day at CHB. I think LEH was the first to mention it, but I think he looks better there than forward at this stage of his career.

I've also thought that our forward line is the weakest area, especially now with Kite leaving and having to rely either on an injury-prone Hentschel or AFL-listed Salter as our full forward all season. So perhaps Tiller may be moved forward on a permanent basis (when fit) with Day at CHB - my guess is Tiller will be a better proposition forward than Day is currently, so if Day can cement a position at CHB, it will add a bit of flexibility to the team to allow Tiller to be used elsewhere.

Has anyone seen Martyn (crows rookie) play this season? I haven't seen any of the reserves games this year but by all accounts he has been playing pretty well

He's been named in the reserves' best a couple of times this season and again got a positive wrap from the coach in the game against North.

I was wondering if he is worth a shot in the league side?

Thanx HJ... I have been saying it for over a year!
As soon as he came to the club, you could see that he lacked the 'target' ability of a Grocke (ability to present, pace & overhead mark) but... these aspects could be compensated for by playing in the backline. I am not sure that CHB is the 'right spot', more like on a tall forward (ala last week on Alleway)... can't play FB due to his lack of geniune pace but his size is a much needed requirement in our back 6. A back 6 that includes; Macca, Flash, Bear, Patty, Day & another 'runner' like Raymond is a very strong back 6.

Yeah, just heard that with the teams on FiveAA, the Eagles didn't have him in the team they released, obviously he will slot into the midfield.

last week Glenelg had a bye and Cornes played for WWT reserves. South have a bye this week so wonder if Andy Otten will play for their reserves

The Eagles have re-released their side with Leigh Treeby now not in the side, but strangely enough, neither is Bernie Vince?

I'm sure Vince will line up for the Woodville West Torrens side, somewhere in the midfield.

Vince came off late in the last quarter against Carlton hobbling so maybe he is injured?

Phil Harper (Crows Footy Ops Manager) said on 5AA that Bernie will go back to the Eagles to try and find some form?

Not yet Mr Fuller. He has pace but gets himself in trouble to often .Needs more time in the seconds playing against larger bodies .having come from NSW he may no be used to the larger bodies and faster pace.

Weather-wise, probably not the worst day for the Eagles to be missing those blokes .. Still think they might have a bit too much size and quality in close and on the ball today, but obviously hope Im wrong
