Sounds like a good night was had and a pitty the weather didn't play ball - would have been shocking wherever the game was played Saturday night.
Question to SAFC management:
Why does the game start at 6:30pm on a Saturday night? I thought the idea of playing night football at South was to enable the Southern and Great Southern Football League Community's to attend. Saturday night may be viable but most clubs would be having presentations from their matches at 6:30-7:00pm and therfore not really enabling them to attend as mentioned previously by many posters, there is a very storng affinity with their local clubs. I thought a more suitable start time would be 7:40pm on Saturday nights, but hey feel free to shoot me down.
Also why Saturday night over Friday nights? There isn't a great deal to do down South on a Friday night and they could really make this a big event. I have heard along the grapevine that the Southern Football League requested that south not play their games on a Friday night, anyone hear similar?
IMHO Friday nights would be the prime time at 7:40pm they would get the biggest attendances.
I am all for them trying the Thursday night at Easter and we will see how that goes but lets hope the southern community starts to support the panthers and onfield results will play a massive role in this.
