Congratulations to Nick Murphy.- a Strathalbyn product and a very fine young man. Am I correct in saying he won the sanfl rising star last season ....? and gave a speech at the Magarey medal count that made everyone sit up and take notice??? Brad Crabb was named VC, he's from KI. Great to see the leadership of the club in the hands of the local products. Well done lads.

The article is I think wrong in a couple of spots. I think Brad Crabb is vice captain and in no way is it a surprise to the clubs supporters that Nick got the captaincy. He gives everything and for him, age is no barrier. The side is very young and along with the plans of the club, this will give him every opportunity to be a long term captain, something we have lacked of late.
