Actually Wedgie you make a good point ..... the NSW ruby team has light blue gernseys and it looks fine.
Sturt Baseball Club has light blue with dark trim and that looks fine.
A few years back ...when I was playing, Kensington Baseball Club has light blue with red and that looked great.

I guess it is just the shade of blue I find disgusting with the Sturt Football Club jumper.

If this from Wiki is correct...

The club used the two shades of blue of Oxford and Cambridge Universities as its home ground, Unley Oval, is situated on the junction of Oxford Terrace and Cambridge Terrace, hence the nickname of "Double Blues".

I'd say they should use the real Cambridge and Oxford blues for their colours.

I would say that one as it's the one that the University officially recognises and would reflect your club's history...
The Cambridge University official colour style guide defines Cambridge Blue as Pantone 557, with the nearest equivalent web colour being #A3C1AD.

I think SDK is confusing the 2 different sports, Rugby (Union) and Rugby League.
Most union players are very well educated and I'd back them in the intelligence stakes (overall) against footy players any day of the week.
League on the over hand.......

ditto. maybe we should invent a new show, "The Australian Football Code I.Q. Test", just to settle this great debate, once and for all!
