Last week's game will count for nothing and Sturt will pay dearly if the complacency shown in games earlier this year comes back to haunt. The Eagles will have a different motivation, a few valuable ins and a drier deck to play on whereas Sturt have really excelled in wet conditions lately - last week means squat. Bringing in an under-done Thurstans is either going to be a winning move or potential disaster IMO. Can only see Jaenschy's inclusion as a plus with a career-shaping finals series last year.
"A no vote from any club means there is some sort of risk involved in our entry into the competition not working," Steven Trigg.

Zac Milbank[A good journo, enjoy reading his articles ]
QUOTE

The Eagles will be without Power listed pair Nick Salter and Matthew Broadbent for the major round after they were ruled out by Port medicos with soft tissue injuries

What the .....
No operations, but a soft tissue issue
Now the Eagles need a tissue !

Has there ever been a SANFL club more shafted by the AFL clubs than the Eagles ?

We've been lucky in one way having so many of our locals drafted to the SA clubs. What Milbank writes goes against what the Eagles have been sending out, saying as soon as Broady and Salter are fit they'll be available (but it wouldn't be till end of finals if we're still alive).

Reality is though that we won't see them and can't worry about them. No planning should have been done with a reliance on an AFL listed player to be available in September.

Well seeing two players named on the bench in the league played today at Noarlunga. I would think the big three will be lining up as named . ;)
