Disagree with that. For three quarters today Norwood played like they wanted it. Were super-intense and well disciplined.

Bit worrying however for Norwood fans that once the Bays hit the lead in the final term, the Legs dropped heads and stopped running.

So Sturt could now finish 3rd and a vital double chance, or miss the finals altogether...all coming down to one game, now there is some motivation!

I just think that Norwood are just about done. After round 4, we were 0-4 and some people were saying we wouldn't win a game. The club realised we needed to put a few wins on the board and so we went into full throttle. The next few weeks were fantastic, Norwood playing the most attractive football in the competition, it was great to see. However, a part of me wondered at the time if we could maintain the effort right through to September.

I think it has been a long hard season for Norwood, and at a time where other clubs are building towards a finals assault, Norwood may find it difficult to ask their players to lift even more.

Yes, it did look as though Norwood dropped their heads, but to me they looked a very tired unit, which is why I questioned why they went for a run just prior to the game starting. It's been my opinion for quite awhile that some coaches take pre-match warm ups to ridiculous levels at times. When Norwood players finally returned and then came out to start the game, I thought they looked tired, even then.

I think you're pretty close to the mark AH.

Even though I hate to admit it, what Norwood has done so far this year has been great for the competition. We need teams, especially the so called traditional ones, to be strong and healthy, and the competition to be even and tight.

The last round this week is testament to that.

I don't think Norwood are shot by any means, but the season has taken it's toll and whatever the result, they will be a stronger team and club for it and this is a very solid base to work from in the next couple of years.

I missed yesterday's game due to my wife's 40th ... bloody glad the Bays got up because she's a 'Legs supporter!
