A loss with serious consequences. Even more frustrating given Glenelg over ran Norwood.
No doubt North deserved their win today. They were the better side for much of the game. They seemed to be able to run from the half back line with ease for most of the second half. Seemed like the Eagles were playing with 15 players sometimes such was the non-existent contribution by some.
I hope Godden throws away his experiment of having a 3rd ruckman in the side and playing them as a tall forward. Redden/Hoban/Biglands - please just forget about them unless Miles or Parry get injured.
We rely too much on Grocke. He can only do so much. He'll provide a contest every single time, but where are the crumbers and the rest of the forwards?
Despite perfect conditions, the disposal by foot was terrible. Not much good Allmond/Treeby/Rimington/Rowntree getting the ball so often if they turn it over every time we go inside 50.
It was a dose of reality today. However, while the season is still alive there is hope. Hopefully we beat Sturt next week and hopefully West beat Norwood...
