Topic related or just a general observation ?

Clubs can wear guernseys from the 60's 70's or 80's, supporters no matter what age are encouraged to wave a flag or flogger and cut up is allowed to be thrown.
Supporters wearing duffle coats could get free entry and those wearing a mullet or ugg boots could get a free choc shake or razz.

You'd better hope Weslo is given the week off.

Just as a one off Pseudo, the SANFL can allow it to create an atmosphere similar to that of pre 1990 and add to the "retro" feel.

only one half of the Advertised gimmicks turned up today at prospect

As for the rest of those who attended, you all need to be thanked by the SANFL for making the supreme sacrifice in this mornings lead up to the day.

I did a rough count at 3/4 time and barely counted 900 ppl, add a few for those that may have been hiding in the toilets and had gone home early and I doubt if the tally was 950

Piss poor effort that......Ritchie

I dont mind a 'theme' round, as long as they keep it to only one or two a year. Every second week in the AFL has some sort of 'warm and fuzzy' theme attached to it.

I reckon that there were at least 100 downstairs in the roosters club at 3/4 time. Therefore the crowd might have just cracked the 1000. At one stage just after 1/2 time I thought that there were more in the bar watching Carlton and Richmond than watching North and South. In 50 years of following North, easily the smallest crowd that I have ever seen at Prospect.

You'd be used to counting a crowd of 900 wouldn't you prowling panther?
Very surprising considering Souths massive fan base.

We have done pretty well this year, with crowd numbers on the rise at South played matches.

Mind you, I think that a top crowd of South supporters this year would have been lucky to reach 700 at any match and doubt if 300 of todays crowd were rooting for a South victory.

Regardless mate, I do wish all the best for your club and loyal band of supporters.
