Waterproofed Sherrins

Can anybody confirm that the yellow Sherrins used at night in the SANFL are 7 percent waterproofed, whereas the red KB's are not?

I reckon some have a poly coating, not usually the KB brand which are all leather, more so the cheaper "Match" variety.
Sherrin KB Premium at $120.00 should be able to do everything including float like Popeye at that sort of money.

Good topic, the yellow footys do have a different texture about them, they appear to be more slippery on a dewy night, and reasonably surer on a rain affected night, however when the rain starts the ball looks like its a piece of soap and goes where it wants to, not where you want it to go, with today's technology they should be able to make a leather that has a water repellent capability without causing the ball to slip, there by losing control of it.

Maybe they should look closer at a synthetic football which gives everyone an equal chance.
I wish my remembering was as good as my forgetting
