You have obviously never dealt with Tel$tra then?
FFS, give the SANFL a call and I'm sure they'll sort it out for you.

You may be able to mount a case that you were wilfully decieved into thinking there was audio. That includes asking the sales person and getting an "I think so" (as I am under the impression at least). If anywhere you were told or read that there was any sort of audio they would be legally required to give you a refund. If the SANFL gives you no satisfactory answer, you could call consumer affairs to see where you stand.

The argument that they can't be held accountable for the quality because it's meant for coaching purposes is pathetic. If that's the case, don't charge $30 (the full price you pay for a professionally packaged complete TV series). But really, to treat their product (SANFL football) so shabbily shows they don't care enough. They might actually find if they package them professionally more people would be interested in buying them, assuming the software on their site works.

See, amazing what can be achieved if you ask.
So I suppose the Royal Commission isn't required now?

Look, good to see you had a good outcome ... i just thought you were a tad melodramatic about it all.
I know someone who ordered a DVD earlier this year and received it before the game and funny enough the DVD was blank ... you got off lightly compared to him.

I have ordered dvds from SANFL and Pine Lodge both, at times have had no audio
