When will Glenelg turn up and play 4 qtrs?

Good last qtr, good into the wind, poor 2nd qtr with the wind.

Cornes OK, played forward most of the game, a few good touches in the last, probably needs to be a bit more selfish and have a few shots at goal rather than always giving off. Ben Mules my BOG by a mile.

Anyone know why the Porpoise was at the game? Did he play reserves with South?

port as usual had their honest crack & were very stiff to be down to one player on the bench before half time, bays started well & i thought at 1/4 time we'd be about 8 goals up at the main break however port showed its intent by lifting the intensity & 'making a contest' & taking it away from us, the third term was glenelgs as we stopped ports scoring with that breeze & as we turned for home we were an unstoppable force helped by the strong wind & stronger/bigger bodies, i thought todd grima up forward was outstanding, meyer, tenace, allen, mules & sellar in patches of the game, for port milera was a live wire up forward with 3 goals but could have kicked at least 6, while dolling & summerton also played well, i'm sure port will get another scalp or two before the end of the year, as for the bays we must keep up the intensity for an entire game & not just go through the motions at times during games

did i notice the 2 mrs cornes saying hi to each other today ? :D :D

i wish the 'afl umpires' didn't umpire in the sanfl as michael avon was very ordinary & crucified both teams with 'tiggy touchwood' decisions & 25/50 metre penalties.....m.avon get a feel for the game ffs

1st qtr 9/10
2nd qtr 1/10

Missed the last two (due to kids duty) but based on what I heard on the radio

3rd qtr 5/10
4th qtr 7/10

We've got to avoid those 1 qtr lapses which will cost us against the good sides.

Great to get the two points but still a lot of work to do.

Important to get another win next week then a week off then start the build up for finals

BTW great to see #12 floating around again. The budget had him wearing #22 - one of our designated AFL player numbers for 2010 but he requested and got #12.

Good to catch up with Booney today, sorry about the result mate
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Not as bad as when they stopped play to decide whether a Port player (after getting crunched) was ok to go on or not after a behind was scored. After about 30 seconds and the Port trainers deciding a stretcher wasn't necessary, the umpire signalled that a blood rulle applied. As the Port player was walked off, and both teams huddled in the middle of the ground, the umpire allowed play to start, Port kicked in and ran it down to get a goal - meanwhile, the "injured" player hadn't even get off the ground.

Ridiculous.

Another game full of missed opportunities to apply scoreboard pressure in the 1st and 3rd Quarters. A good sign was the longer kicking up forward but in the end the Bays were simply too big.

Watching Chad, (as many of us were), he simply was out of his depth. Having 1 training run, knowing about 3 player names and zero about the game plan isn't a great combination.

Good to see Cornes Senior "making himself known " to the Port supporters on the outer wing. :finga:

Good game of July SANFL footy, not pretty but enough highlights to make it enjoyable. PLenty of tough balls to be won and some hard tackling from both sides.

Impressed with Ports endeavour and certainbly arent far away from shaping the 5 in the run home, if they had nailed some early opportunites in the first 1/4 it may have gone down to the wire.

Glenelg again fail to put it all together, still have faith we can though
