Donnelly has retired, effective immediately

Having a shoulder reconstruction tomorrow before returning to Ireland by the end of the month.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

A shame. I would have liked to have seen him progress. Wishing him all the best for the op and his return home.

The Irish Rookie on the Adelaide Crows list...

He was originally mini-drafted by Glenelg but switched to Central at the start of this year...

when he left glenelg i think the move to centrals was the wrong choice of clubs as they had (at that stage) buckets, griffin, (giles probably) & milne who were all in front of him & then when they got pumpa i think he saw the writing on the wall, should have gone to west who are a ruckman or two short......nice lad & good luck to him in the future
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Donnelly was not used as ruckman for central reserves. More across half back.

Come on be fair, nothing to do with switch of clubs, he just could not play AFL.

Did play deep defence for CDFC but just could not cut it anywhere.
