Purely for merchandising potential. So it's more a cash guernsey than a clash guernsey :D

Thankfully I think that North have done away with their clash guernsey this year. They may have finally come o the realisation that they don't clash with anyone given that they are the only team without black or blue in their guernsey. Hopefully now they can also return to their traditional brand of exciting football which used to even win premierships every now and then.

North only gave them away this year as they had Coopers printed on the back of all of them.

I like it better than the regullar guernsey

Yeah it seems a few people feel that way mate, including some of our own supporters .. My point was more that for the purpose of avoiding a clash, I reckon it delivers close to zero.

Im biased but i really did like Centrals clash guernsey they wore last year which was the predominatly white with the red and blue hoops. Kept all 3 of our tri colours and white made sure we didn't clash with anyone. It was just the reverse of the current guernsey, simple but effective.

Apparently the players dind't like it though, not sure what the reason was.

I wouldn't want to wear that much white and look like a soccer player or umpire

Don't have the facts to back it up, but from memory, the Dogs lost quite a few games in that white 'alternate' jumper !!!

Maybe the players thought they were cursed in it ;)

In terms of our current run BP, what is "lost quite a few games" ;)

I have one of those guernseys hanging up in my bar by the way. Looks great next to the normal guernsey.

That was the reason - players hated it, club listened.

For me. Mostly traditional.........

North Adelaide - Red with White " V "
Port Adelaide - Prison Bar Design
Glenelg - Black / Gold Sash
West Adelaide - Black / Red Sash
South Adelaide - Navy Blue jumper with White S.A. logo
Sturt - Light Blue jumper with Navy Blue S.F.C. logo
Norwood - Dark Blue jumper with Red lining
Central District - Blue jumper with Red & White " V " design.
Woodville / West Torrens - vertical Blue, Green and Yellow stripes.

Didn't Westies juniors wear this exact guernsey years ago?

Can remember Uncle Doug on 5AA once saying they made the juniors wear this guernsey to make pulling on the league guernsey a rare honour.

That Westies away guernsey is a shocker.

Most modern guernsey designs are just too busy...
